Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. Her current position is that as the president of Los Angeles Lakers, the National Basketball Association's controlling owners. Buss is a native of California has an extremely wealthy family background. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. When she was in the year 1972, her parents broke up in divorce and she was left feeling emotionally lost. At 19 years old, she began working for the family's business, serving as director of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She was the president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013, and the ownership of the Lakers was transferred to Buss as well as her siblings by a trust of the family which gave each sibling an equal vote. Buss assumed the role as head for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss co-owns Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotion company that is based in Los Angeles.
