Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter after her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder believes she is Jewish, is descended from Ryder's Jewish father. Uria Ryder is her younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are her half-siblings. Ryder and her family moved to California's Mendocino County at the age of seven. Ryder was seven. In those days, there were no electric lights. Ryder would read extensively due to the absence of television. Ryder was 12 when she was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. In 1986 she landed her first role on the big screen in the movie Lucas when she was just 15 years old. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. Her acting career, she hoped to help, could have helped her. Unfortunately that didn't come to happen. Still she continued pursuing her dream. In 1988, she received her big break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder played parts that proved successful in a variety of films. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one for The Age of Innocence (1996).
